My baby turned 11! Time is flying by but we are loving every stage. We are thankful our kids are healthy and strong and that they want to live to please the Lord. We are blessed. ♥

Project Life 2018: Week 24
I'm enjoying the process of getting caught up on my Project Life weeks. As of right now, I can't imagine documenting our life any differently. Just the other day I received a small order of 2016 pages (that's how far behind I am on printing pages). It's always so cool to see how excited the kids are to look through the pages, point out things they remember, etc. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one enjoying the time and effort put in to this work. I love photos and looking back. I'm thankful. ♥

Project Life 2018: Week 23
This spread sums up the final pictures from our trip out west. Looking back, it's amazing to think we were actually at the places we went to. It sort of feels like a dream. I think we packed a lot in to the time that we had. These are memories we will always carry with us!

Project Life 2018: Week 22 Yellowstone
Even though I created a two page spread for one day in Yellowstone, I still have a lot of pictures that I didn't use. In this case, I tried to focus on highlights of the day.

Project Life 2018: Week 22 Custer and Rushmore
I'm trying my best to include lots of photos and the ones that capture our story and our memories the best. Not all memories have photos to go with them which is why documenting it in words is important too.
Project Life 2018: Week 21 Badlands
The Badlands! It was such an amazing place. We tried to see as much as we could while we were gone but also enjoy it as much as possible. I've been referring to the experience like drinking from a fire hose. You're taking in, taking in so fast. Once home, it's like, "Did we really just see all these amazing things?!" Yes, yes we did!

Project Life 2018: Week 21
This spread starts the beginning of our big adventure west. It was a busy week leading up to it and has stayed that way for two months. It's summer!

Project Life 2018: Week 20
Wow, I feel like the last few months have been a whirlwind! We've done a lot of fun things, but we haven't been able to rest as much as I've been hoping for. School planning is also beginning/continuing. I enjoy it as long as my mind isn't racing with all that's going on. I enjoy times of scrapbooking where I'm able to slow down and take in what we've been up to.

Project Life 2018: Week 19
In keeping with adding memories to my pages, I included some and a recipe. Hopefully it'll be fun when people look through my books down the road and find recipes sprinkled throughout.
Project Life 2018: Week 18
I've been MIA from the scrapbooking world for a while and I'm happy to be back! I just love photos and preserving memories. One memory I included this week was a Play Skool house my grandma had at her house. It popped into my head one day and I decided to document it. It's fun adding in little unexpected snippets where I can!

Project Life 2017: Week 17
Some weeks I'm just not thrilled with photo quality or angles. This was one of those weeks, but I worked with what I had. I can't exactly say what I'm not a fan of. There's just a "feel" I'm hoping for and I didn't reach it.

Project Life 2018: Week 16
I'm really enjoying the simplicity of sticking to the same layout template each week. With baseball season currently upon us, I'm wondering how that'll work. I normally like to include an enlarged vertical picture of Titus in his uniform. We'll see if I break the cycle!

Project Life 2018: Week 15
Something I've never done before that I decided on last minute is adding the day and time that the pictures were taken. It's nothing mind blowing, but it's a fun little addition for this week's spread.
I've been thinking about new things I could add to my documenting. The first has been jotting down childhood memories that come to mind and any story that accompanies it. Lately it's been stories having to do with my grandma. Those stories are coming in future spreads. The other thing I've thought of adding is recipes. That idea came from a "Grandma Story" that will be featured in a future spread. But it's a story I've already jotted down in my DayOne app where I give a little snippet of what happens each day.
To sum it all up, my childhood stories and recipes will be featured more. I'm excited! And maybe I'll even be able to add in some photos of when I was a kid. That'll make it even more fun.

Project Life 2018: Week 14
I haven't been able to scrapbook for a few days due to some computer problems, but I'm back up and running again. Yay! Scrapbooking is my main creative outlet and when I'm unable to work on it when I want to, I feel trapped. Ha!

Project Life 2011: Weeks 30-31
When doing spreads from years past, I reference our family blog that I used to regularly update. I find things the kids said and details of what we did. However, I have found a handful of pictures where I wish I had documented what was going on. For instance, I don't have the kids playing with the bike (pictured below) on my blog. I know they gave their contraption a funny name, but none of us can remember it. It's at times like this where it makes me really thankful for my DayOne app that I update for each day of the year. I've been using it since I started Project Life in 2014. I can add photos to the journal entries, tag things for easier reference, etc. I also jot down things the kids say. It's been such a great tool for memory keeping.
