Project Life 2018: Week 30

I love all the green and color of summer.

On a side note, I hope I'm not the only one who has recently thought we're still in 2017 or has to pause to think about what year we are in. I've had nine months to work on it and still here I am. :)

Project Life 2018: Week 29

I had a lot of photos that I wanted to use for this week and wondered if the reunion needed its own spread, but I was able to get it all in one and have a space for some stories.

I really enjoy using a design element in a repeated fashion on my spreads. I really feel it ties things together. For this spread, I used word banners. Some came in kits as-is and one I made using a couple in order to get it just how I wanted. I love that flexibility in digital scrap-booking.

Project Life 2018: Week 28

Does anyone else get sappy when reading quotes about childhood while listening to sappy country music about time flying by? No? Just me? I'm so thankful for photos that help keep memories alive.

Project Life 2018: Week 27

Summer pictures are so fun! Some of my favorites include beach and water pictures. Instead of including a sky of fireworks, I opted for the very cool sparks from a sparkler. Instead of kids on rides in the water park, I just went with our group picture from that day (minus Lindsay). On weeks with lots of pictures, I try to decide what photos will be best to tell the stories I have to tell. At times I do feel bad for not using other photos, but I only have so much room.

Project Life 2018: Week 26

Lately I've been thinking about how my story telling could use some sprucing up - to make it more interesting. I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I tend to tell the facts in order to save space rather than much thought or feeling. I'm wondering how I can better myself in that area so I can enhance the stories of our lives.

Project Life 2018: Week 25

I've enjoyed a challenge by Ali Edwards to pick something and repeat it in the spread. This week it's word blocks that I created from various word art sets.
