2 Pages

I saw something in my new CK magazine where they kind of did free hand painting. So I tried something I hadn't before. It was fun. I used two different brushes and my fingers. It's different but it was fun.

Free to be Me!

Because I do my scrapping while my kids are sleeping, there can tend to be a rushed feeling with it. "Will they wake up?" "How many pages can I get done while they sleep?" Also, in scrapping magazines, there are articles like "10 Pages You Can Do In 15 Minutes". These different things run through my mind during my "me time". I want to use my time wisely and get done what I can, yet at the same time, I want to enjoy what I'm doing! So, I'm now changing my scrapping ideals of how much I can do in one sitting. Now I'm enjoying the process more. And while doing that, I get more ideas! If I get only one page done in a day, yeah! , at least it's one page more than I had the day before. I'm encouraged to realize I don't have to move at a fast pace. I can turn my music on, drink my coffee and truly enjoy scrapping! I'm free to do whatever I want in the pace I want!

Bath / Circles

"Bathing Booties", haha! I saw that phrase online and loved it! You know, "Bathing Beauties"...

Once again, I saw the circle idea in a magazine using a hole punch. I cut out a few templates and then slowly and carefully laid each punch down. I was just using my fingers and that ended up getting too sticky. Midway through all of it, I got out some tweezers and that worked great! This is just a picture of the two page layout. Below is each page by itself.

I've really liked the look of ripped paper lately!

This "white" paper was actually paper that wasn't "me", so I used the backside (white) and painted with light blue. So today's lesson (haha) is, if you don't like a certain patterned paper, use the back! That's what I did for both of these pages.

Leah and Winter

I made a few of my own snowflakes.

I really liked the paint and the two papers, but I had a really hard time laying the pictures out. After painting around each picture, it really pulled it together for me.

I was worrying about Leah's purple hat and how I could use it on Christmas paper. Then I realized I had paper with purple ornaments!

Family

These were the pictures in our Christmas cards for 2007 and all of the "journals" are our Christmas letter.

This layout was from a magazine. I know it looks real simple, but I like it. I also like the tied ribbons. I hadn't done that before. Ha!

4 Pages for Today

On this page and the next, there is a glare on the pictures from the flash. All of my pictures are clear...I wouldn't scrap them otherwise! ;-)

Cowboy Ty

I love this cowboy theme and the paper!! While I was doing this page, I was listening to country music and I was just in such a fun mood. Now I just need to look out my window and see a rolling country side with horses grazing! *dreaming* Oh yeah, this idea was taken from something I found in a magazine. I'm so thankful for ideas (from other people)!!

2 More B-day Pages

Titus' first birthday page is in a previous post. I ran out of photo stickers as I was almost done with this page, so after buying some more, I was able to finish it up today.

Third birthday page.

4 Pages 4 Today

A very simple page. I had lots of pictures from Thanksgiving and wanted to have them on not very many pages.

Christina and I!!

I had another birthday page I was working on but I ran out of photo stickers!! *sniff*

Friend and Family

I've seen pages in magazines where they put the journals as the border so I thought I'd try it.

I saw this layout in a scrapbook magazine. I used staples in a few places. The word "family" was printed when I had the photo printed (thanks Elements!).

Kellers / Teeth

I fanned a brush for the white specks on the black paper and painted around the pictures.

I saw this idea in a magazine. I drew the tooth and cut it out. I *think* it looks like a tooth.
