My Grandparents in 1945

Here are three pictures that my grandma gave to my sister, Lydia. I loved them so much so I scanned them so I could also have a copy. These pictures were taken in 1945 when my grandparents were engaged. They were washing dishes together at my Grandpa's mother's house. Her name was Grace. I love the looks on their faces, their clothes, the old pans, the old boxes, the simplicity of it all. Simply amazing. I'm so happy someone took these pictures!

I can't wait to scrapbook these pictures. I just want to call my grandma up first and get a little info on them, the house, and my great-Grandma Grace. I treasure all of the information I can get now. Someday the people who can give the details and stories will not be around, so I want to get what I can right now.

This page was fun and a little different because I was trying to follow rules for CS3 yet had to make it work for Elements. I learned a few things, so that is always good!

Tub

I saw a layout in the March CK magazine and did my own take on it. I used an already corner rounded square from a template and clipped the papers to it.

Scrapbooks

I bought this last month, but this is my Thanksgiving scrapbook from We R Memory Keepers. I LOVE their leather books - and when I can use a coupon on them! This is a post bound book because they didn't have 3-ring 8x8 books.

I put a few things in the book, but still have to create the pages with pictures.

My new family scrapbook. I LOVE this blue!! I will admit that I was between this one and a really pretty purple, but the blue won. I never thought I would like 3-ring books, but I'm hooked!

Sandy Sunday

The layout of this page was taken from a layout by Ali Edwards in the CK November 2008 issue. To get all of my pictures the same size, I took one square photo/paper block from a template and moved that one square to my page. I resized it, then copied the other 11 squares, and finally clipped the pictures to each square. I like finding ways to use lots of pictures on one page. I like how this one turned out.

Berries

I really like this page. The raspberries almost make my mouth water! I really loved using one of my favorite pictures from that day as the background. It's a different style and different pictures for an anniversary page, but honestly, the only pictures taken of us that day was berry picking.
