Project Life 2015: Week 43

Nine more weeks of scrapbooking to complete 2015! Wow! I've been slowly thinking about font and date changes for 2016. I'm not quite sure what I want. I end up mixing some of the same things from past designs or ideas as I go through the year. So I have a few more weeks to think about it and look around at what others have done.

Project Life 2015: Week 42

As I type this post, it's 3:36pm and it's been snowing since at least 8am! We have a good six inches of snow. Everything is covered in white and you can't see very far. It's soooo beautiful!

As I was getting the photos ready for this week, I realized how many I had! And since I was having a hard time leaving certain ones out, I did two spreads. To some that might be excessive, but since it includes great family time, and since this is the only way I scrapbook now, it had to be done. ;) Enjoy!

Project Life 2015: Week 41

November began yesterday, Hallmark Christmas movies are playing 24/7 (♥♥♥!!!), the weather is cooler, colors are beautiful. I love it!

Project Life 2015: Week 40

I haven't posted in a while! I've been occupied with other things in my afternoons lately or chose to work on something else like my cross stitch. I've completed two now. Which one should I work on next? Something Christmas-y, I think!

With one picture in this spread, Leah said, "Ew gross! Why would you use that picture?" Can you guess which one?

Project Life 2015: Week 39

This was a busy week with missed photo opportunities but I'll take what I have.

In other years of having our fall party, I haven't taken any photos because I'm busy greeting and talking to people (like what happens during your high school open house). This year I wanted to document more so I snapped here and there. Not too many, since I was visiting, but enough to get a feel for the day.

Project Life 2015: Week 38

Today is October 1! Yay! I love October. It's truly fall. I wish it lasted longer than one month, but I'm thankful for all we get.

I really like the additions of Leah's artwork to this spread. It's a fun, easy way to preserve their drawings and include them in my documenting.

Project Life 2015: Week 37

Most people say how fast they can get pages finished. Most times it takes me my afternoon tea time to complete a spread (1-2 hours). I edit photos, get distracted online, choose brushes, add text. I worked on this page for like three days. One day I edited the photos and placed them, the next I completed the left page, and today I finished the right page. While it wouldn't seem like it should take that long, it did. But I enjoy the process! Some days I have more time and other days (like today), I have other things to work on so my time is shorter.

Project Life 2015: Week 36

I've really been craving my creative outlet. I'm happy to have this hobby.

I'm a creature of habit and I normally like using pictures in the traditional size - rectangles. But this second page is nine squares. I thought I would give it a try. I'm not too sure if I like it, but I'll keep it for now.

Project Life 2015: Week 35

A couple weeks ago or so, I was reading about taking pictures of everyday "ordinary" things. I thought that I do that often but then got to thinking of things I'm not capturing.

Looking back at 2010 photos made me realize how the tree line on the east side of our property is so full now. Back in 2010, you could see the field on the other side and could see deer that were there. Now you can't see through it at all.

That got me thinking. What should I be capturing now? What special things about where we live do I need to document now that might change over the next few years? When the days aren't hot and humid, I plan to take my camera out more and take photos around where we live. It is such a pretty area and I want to remember it all.

Project Life 2015: Week 34

Lots of photos for this spread!

Today's high is around 60! We are loving the cool days before another 85+ warm up that's supposed to last a week or so. Sweatpants and sweatshirts for the win!

Project Life 2015: Week 33

And to think I didn't have enough pictures to document our week...

For the last few weeks, I've been including more of each days activities. I'm trying not to include stuff that's not super important, but I'm guessing whatever I include will be fun to look back on in years to come - no matter how chatty I get. ;)

I just love the trio of frogs picture!

Project Life 2010: Weeks 45-47

This spread has a few things going on. It compiles three weeks but only has pictures from two events. Some spreads come together really well and I'm happy with the results. Others leave me feeling "meh". Unfortunately, this was one of the "meh" ones. I used quite a few blurry pictures because I like the photo - just not the blurriness.

Project Life 2010: Weeks 42-44

This spread wraps up October 2010 which means I only have November + December left and then 2010 will be complete!

I'm still trying to decide what to do with the individual pages I've created from 2010-2013 that aren't Project Life. I might just take comments from them and only print Project Life pages. I'm not sure. I just know if I print them, the photos would be doubles (of some) that are in the PL spreads.

Project Life 2010: Weeks 39-41

Oohh these pictures have me excited! I loooooove fall. It's my favorite season and it's right around the corner. It's colorful and cozy.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. It's so fun going back five years and scrapping these photos. It's great looking at how small the kids are. I sent Jackie a few of these pictures today just to remind her of the day and for her to see how small the kids looked.

This form of scrapbooking doesn't get old for me. I love it. It's such an easy way to document photos and stories with a little artistic flair. I'm nearing the end of scrapping 2010 and that'll leave me with 2011-2013. It's amazing to think I have all of 2014 and everything so far of 2015 scrapped. I'm "only" three years behind but I'm not freaked out because I know this form of scrapbooking allows me to crank out pages pretty quick. I also don't have photos from every week and that allows things to move faster too. I've truly enjoyed going back and getting caught up.

Where'd my babies go?

Project Life 2015: Week 32

Week 32 was busy yet restful.

To my surprise, we had a few sunflowers growing right under my bird feeder. My spoiled country birds love black sunflower seeds. As long as I have that in my feeder, I see all kinds of birds. But some of the seeds must have fallen ever just so in order for sunflowers to grow and bloom. While they aren't one of my favorite flowers, I still think this process was pretty cool - and the yellow is beautiful!

Project Life 2015: Week 31

This week was more on the restful side with lots of swimming. And we entered into August!
