2009 is...

...complete! YES! This page is the last page for 2009. It's a good feeling...and then I remember we are in 2014. But what is another even better feeling is that for 2014, I'm totally caught up. I LOVE Project Life for that reason and many more! I can't imagine scrapbooking any other way. It simplifies things and has enough creativeness to keep me satisfied. And this page still uses the PL layout, just altered a tad.

Look at my little babies!

Christmas in July

Since I'm caught up on Project Life and the co-op yearbook is finished, I was able to spend some time catching up on years past. Today was Christmas 2009. I stayed with the PL themed layouts which allowed these pages to come together in a flash. Perfect! The kids were so little!

Project Life 2014: Week 28

This week I was happy to include a photo of my purple hydrangea and some basil that I have in one of my pots. I somehow started to get out of the habit of taking "every day" photos and only remembering to take photos of bigger, "more fun" events. But I enjoy the everyday so I'm trying to get back in the habit of documenting the day to day.

This spread really only encompasses two days of the week (plus whatever days the plant pictures were taken) but it allowed for more photos of each day.

The flower really has two tones of purple. I find that really interesting but haven't yet looked up why that might be.

There are more photos I wished I would have taken but I guess I was focused on living the memory than photographing it. Sometimes I feel like I take the same shots every year, so I'm trying to think of ways to switch it up.

Project Life 2014: Week 26

Week 26 means we're halfway through the year! Whoa!

I love the colors of this week as it's very American. This week was also sad at my Aunt Linda passed away.

Project Life 2014: Week 25

Week 25 has two spreads! I wonder if that will continue to happen as the weeks of summer go by. *wink*

Project Life 2014: Week 24

Another week with two spreads! Father's Day took up one page and Leah's birthday took up the two extra pages.

Normally, I wait for the "perfect mood"/kit to do birthday pages. I'm behind on them. But this time, since I'm doing Project Life, I easily worked it in quite quickly. It doesn't have tons of glitz and glam, but it has enough and Leah is highlighted - the reason for the pages anyway. Whew, it's nice having her 7th birthday pages done. Now to catch up on the others!

I have other pictures with her opening presents, but I think this captures the day. I'm such a sucker for including as many pictures as possible to remember everything, but I'm trying to get better.

Project Life 2014: Week 23

This was another full week which included my dad's 60th birthday party. I decided to include a two page spread of that day into this week.

Project Life 2014: Week 22

Enter week 22! I have the traditional two page spread and then another two page spread from our gardening day. I love being able to stick in some extra "project life" style pages in with the week. It really makes documenting photos and stories so much easier! I love it!

Project Life 2014: Week 21

For this week, I tried something new. Since I had too many pictures and had two "events", I decided to make two "extra" pages for this week. It also saves me from making an official scrapbook page for those events later.

Extra page 1.

Extra page 2. Leah had way more fun than this with Aunt Lydia's iPad. LOTS of laughs!
