Oatmeal

I painted the brown paper with light blue. The letters were something I traced and cut out. I didn't have a lower case "t", so I drew it while trying to stick to the style of the other letters. I really like painting the background of plain paper. It adds a lot to a page.

Bath

The background page is not painted, however I did paint around the pictures and quote card. All of the circle paper was some kind of polka dot paper. I've really been liking that lately.

First Paint Page

As you can see, I used white paint for the base border and then thin stripes of pink and black. For the journal card, I painted on the paper and then printed over it. It worked pretty good. It was fun playing around with the paint. There is a lot you could do! Oh the possibilities!

$3.69 AMAZING Deal!

I've seen people use paint in different scrapping magazines and have been wanting to try it. I saw that JoAnn's had some on sale for $1.39 a bottle so I set out to go there and stop at Michael's. Well...I couldn't find JoAnn's (still finding my way around GR) and ended up going to Micheal's before it would close. To my amazement, the had paints on sale 3 / $1.00!! I called Christina to make sure this was ok to buy, and with her approval (HAHA!), I bought these! I could buy 4 at Micheal's for the price of 1 at JoAnn's. They are normally only 50 cents, so that's good to know for the future. The little foam "brushes" were only 6 cents. Ha! They are normally 39 cents. The regular brush was 39 cents. So for 9 paints and 3 brushes, I only spent $3.69!! AMAZING!

Titus and Leah

I love this quote!

This was fun to do with cutting out the flowers and mixing the two different polka dots.

Monday Products

I saw an idea similar to this in a magazine and wanted to try it. I spent over an hour on Saturday trying to create something with the circle paper and these pictures and nothing was working! So I put everything away and started fresh today.

Before: This page just wasn't "doing it" for me. I tried various things with it but kept having problems. My main problem was finding paper to go with Brandon's shirt, and it wasn't easy!

After: The page above was just really bothering me so I took it all apart and went with something simple.

I didn't have to do much with this page since the paper is really fun and busy. I'm just not sure if the flowers go...

I REALLY like the heart brads I used. It was the first time using them.

Saturday Page

I tried a couple of new things.

#1: Using index prints. I wanted to use more pictures from this day and this was my way of doing it.
#2: If you look closely, I cut out three circle in the patterned paper strip and used the holes for journals. I thought that was a pretty neat idea. Haha!

Oh yeah, in order to see the index prints or anything else on the page, as always, just click on the picture and you'll see everything better.

Guest Book Idea

I saw this in a Creating Keepsakes magazine and thought it was a really cool idea for a guest book. It's just an 8x8 book with a picture of their house.

Here are what the pages look like or could look like depending on what your style is. I like how there are different questions asked and that there is a picture taken of the guests. I think it would be a lot of fun looking back on years later and seeing how people changed.

Organization!!

I HATE having stuff laying around. For quite a while now, I've had a box of magazines and those four boxes you see in the corner sitting there for a long time because it was easily accessible. Well, I was getting rid of some OLD scrap stuff like stickers and all that from an OLD back pack I used to always keep my stuff in. I remembered I had this tote under our bed that hardly anything was in including four smaller totes that all fit inside. So I took those couple things out, gave them a new home (some in the trash) and used those totes for my scrapping stuff! The small clear tote was what my flowers were in until tonight. You can now see the one that's twice the size. Believe it or not, the small blue one, the small green one and the big blue one was all in the small clear tote! Haha! Craziness, I know. I had extra pictures that were able to go in the larger green one. I'll have to sort through those sometime soon. But I have another box of real old pics that I have to go through and figure out what I'm going to do with.

Here you can see how these totes fit inside the bigger one. Two have to stay out, but that's ok!

I moved everything that was in "my corner" to under the bed and out of sight - not to mention ALL ORGANIZED! It's such a good feeling to get rid of things you know you're not going to use and be able to have plenty of room for the newer and "always used" items. (The bed skirt and comforter were pulled up, so it doesn't look quite like this. Ha!)
