Project Life 2014: Week 42

I love the colors of fall! The trees around here are shedding their leaves way too fast. I love the beauty and quietness fall brings.

Project Life 2014: Week 41

Lovely October. We had our first fall fire this week!

Project Life 2014: Week 40

Each week I look forward to the day(s) that I get to work on Project Life. It's already been such a blessing to have to much of this year recorded.

Project Life 2014: Week 38

I had fun putting this together, using a 70's photo action, and using the colored papers.

Project Life 2014: Week 37

This was one of those weeks were I liked the left page and didn't like the right page. It just wasn't coming together. I tried numerous layouts and nothing was coming together. I tried a final layout and settled on it.

Project Life 2014: Week 36

Week 36 is a double spread kind of week due to a fun beach day.

Leah gave some input for this layout. That was fun. She chose the "fun in the sun" element. I explained things as I was moving things around, changing colors, etc. She enjoys watching.

I love the sand monster picture!

Project Life 2014: Week 35

I'm wanting to incorporate more stories and not add too many "unimportant details". I had my pages finished, had the "week 35" bit in the middle and lots of white space. I liked it, but felt like there were other things I wanted to add to this week on top of all the notes I already had. So I moved things around a bit and added more details to our week. I changed some fonts because I was feeling the need for a change and right now I'm really into cursive.

Project Life 2014: Week 34

My goal for this coming week is to try taking pictures of things I don't normally photograph often or at all and add a few words to go with it. I'm always looking for new inspiration when it comes to this project. There are some things I want to mix up - like how I document our week - and I just need to play around with it. I don't want to get so stuck in a groove that I can't experiment or like something new.

Project Life 2014: Week 33

When I started Project Life, I technically started in week 2 and called it "my" week 1. But over time, I didn't like that I was missing the first four days of January. So this week, I started working on the first week (Dec 29, 2013-Jan 4, 2014). That meant I needed to change all of the week numbers on the pages I've done so far (moving them up a week). It went a lot faster than I expected.

Along the way, I realized I recently goofed up on the week numbers by one week. My last post shows "Week 31" and this week shows "Week 33", but really, I didn't skip any weeks. Somehow or another, it all works out and now I'm back on track.

Project Life 2014: Week 31

Two spreads for this week! It's funny - I started out with no plans for this week and had the days filled in no time. :)

Project Life 2014: Week 30

It sure is green here for being July/August! I took advantage of that this week.

2009 is...

...complete! YES! This page is the last page for 2009. It's a good feeling...and then I remember we are in 2014. But what is another even better feeling is that for 2014, I'm totally caught up. I LOVE Project Life for that reason and many more! I can't imagine scrapbooking any other way. It simplifies things and has enough creativeness to keep me satisfied. And this page still uses the PL layout, just altered a tad.

Look at my little babies!

Christmas in July

Since I'm caught up on Project Life and the co-op yearbook is finished, I was able to spend some time catching up on years past. Today was Christmas 2009. I stayed with the PL themed layouts which allowed these pages to come together in a flash. Perfect! The kids were so little!
