It may seem bad, but I'm happy to have this week scrapped and am looking forward to getting the next one done. Why? Because we got the flu over Christmas and I don't really like reliving it through pictures. We are all better now, thank the Lord!

Project Life 2017: Week 50
Some weeks I think that I don't have many pictures to show for it. But then I gather both camera and phone pictures and realize I had more than I bargained for.

Project Life 2017: Week 49
Snow on the pines, quiet nature journaling, making Christmas cookies, and God healing His kids, now that's good stuff!

Project Life 2017: Week 48
Four more weeks to scrapbook for 2017! Yay! It feels so good to get caught up.
I remember when I first started Project Life and wondering how I could do this year after year and have different pictures to show for it. I felt like I would always be taking pictures of the same things. But I'm not. Sometimes certain things are repeated, but the stories aren't all the same, nor do we look the same. It's an ever-changing process. I love it.
Also included this week was Titus's birthday. I'm so happy to be able to use Project Life to easily document it!

Project Life 2017: Week 47
Do you ever have times of the year where you just don't care for the photos? I'm not exactly sure why, but that's how I feel with end of year/beginning of year photos. Not all of the photos, but most of them. Maybe it's the colors, angles, or something like that. I'll just try to better myself at photo taking and see if that helps.
In the meantime, here's the layout for the week of Thanksgiving. None of us too many photos during Thanksgiving. I guess we were too busy visiting with everyone. :)

Project Life 2017: Week 45
Earlier in the week, the barn across the road was up and by the end of the week, it was down. I'm so glad that I've documented it all these years.

Project Life 2017: Week 44
Today I cleaned out some PSDs from my Project Life files. I keep each year separate to keep things simple and easy. Anyway, I deleted the Photoshop files that I don't need anymore and ended up looking through some of the years I've already done. You know? We live a beautifully blessed life. I'm so thankful for alllllll that God has blessed us with.

Project Life 2017: Week 43
Happy New Year! I snapped some individual pictures today for our 2018 cover page and need to take a couple more tomorrow. I'm also working on some family Q&As.
For now, I'm still working on fall photos. It's such a pretty season. Nine weeks left to scrap for 2017. It's coming along!
Project Life 2017: Week 42
This week was full of fall things: leaves, fall artwork, autumn skies, and a cider mill.
On one of the days, I gave Leah my camera and Titus my phone. We went on walk and they took pictures of things that caught their eye. Leah's photo layout is posted below.
I showed Leah how to use a template, resize images, how to clip the pictures, add a brush, change the color of the brush, etc. Leah's layout:

Project Life 2017: Week 41
I love the Project Life can keep changing to what works best or is more aesthetically pleasing. I'm wanting to make some changes. None that will cause any extra stress, but to keep my layouts more streamlined, cohesive, and pleasing to my eye. I'm happy to learn and change in order to make that happen.
Project Life 2017: Week 39
Hello! I've been absent for a while. My computer's hard drive needed to be replaced and that took a while. Once I got my computer back, I worked on our parent's photo calendars. Now I'm hoping to devote more time to Project Life and getting caught up. I had hoped to complete 2011 and 2017 this year, but I haven't even gotten through 2017 yet. I'll just keep plugging away.
As much as I don't like being behind, I enjoy working on a previous year (2011, for example) while working on the current year because it allows me to look back at precious photos. I just love pictures.
2018 starts tomorrow! Of course I'm a handful of weeks behind until I can start scrapbooking 2018, I've been thinking about our cover page, photos that we'll take tomorrow, and some questions to ask each of us to further document this time in our lives. I also need to search out a new font and week brushes to use for 2018. Other than that, not a whole lot is changing. Keeping it basic helps: photos, stories, brushes.
These three spreads are mainly from our fall party. It was our seventh party in our eight years living here.

Project Life 2017: Week 38
Because we love the barn and knew it could collapse soon, I took lots of pictures with it. And it's what we see when we look out our front windows. A few weeks ago, the barn was pulled down due to safety concerns. It is so sad to look at now. We've loved that barn for eight years. It has almost made me cry a few times since it's been down. It's crazy how a barn can make you feel that way. I'm happy I have pictures of it like the one below. I think sometimes we can take for granted the things that we are used to seeing everyday. Document it. You never know when it won't be the same.
